Kia Ora, I’m Narisa Daud, one of the Centre Directors of Piccolo Park Early Learning Centres.
You will often find me in the Mount Wellington centres Whenua rooms or a travelling between each centre keeping up with all our Piccolo whanau.
I originally completed a Psychology Degree with the intention of working with teens. After a year of social work and 3 years of insurance and human resource work for an airline I moved to New Zealand from Fiji to start a new life with Hubby.
After eight years of customer service and 3 children, who have been my biggest challenge yet, I made the decision to go back to advocating for children and their often unheard voice and what better place to make an impact then in early childhood which are the most critical years of growth in our lives.
I completed a post graduate diploma in Early Childhood Education cementing the way to where we are now.
Six years on and counting my love for teaching has grown with each child and family that I have met along the way and I look forward to the many more that will join our Piccolo Whanau and making memories to last a lifetime.
